The rubber of used truck inner tubes is dense, resilient, skin-like and a waste product of 20th century infrastructure. These inner tubes laid open, reconstruct easily making forms that reference the natural world: rocks, vegetables, fruit, bodies. This series of 19 fruit made its way high into the giant deciduous trees of Webster’s Woods, each piece nestled into moss at the crook of a branch. The twenty-pound fruits look natural; will they fall?
